Alwin started his career in 1975 as a biochemical research analyst with the CLB (now Sanquin). After completing his studies in chemical technology at the University of Applied Sciences (HTS), Alwin became a process engineer at the product division of the CLB. In 1989 he continued his career in the biotechnological company EuroCetus (later Chiron, SynCo Biopartners and Wacker Biotech BV) and was responsible for setting up and managing the aseptic filling department. His responsibilities grew until he was made head of production (fermentation, purification and aseptic filling, labelling and packaging). Alwin later set up the development department at SynCo Biopartners where he was responsible for developing biopharmaceutical processes and the related analytical methods. Over the past 30 years Alwin has acquired extensive experience in many aspects of the (bio-)pharmaceutical industry.

Alwin Voetman has been a Project Manager and Consultant with Progress since 2004, and from January 2014 to February 2019 he was Director Sales.
