Expertise

Edwin has 30+ years’ experience within the bio-pharmaceutical industry. Since February 2019 Edwin is Chief Commercial Officer of Progress, responsible for marketing, acquisition and sales.

Edwin was appointed manager Sales in 2017. Prior to this he acted as interim manager or senior project manager, mainly on CMC and Tech Transfer projects. Prior to joining Progress in 2007, Edwin was manager of the department Analytical & Process Development (APD) of SynCo Bio Partners (now Wacker). As Manager APD he was a member of the operational management team and later also became a member of the Executive Team.

Before Synco Biopartners, Edwin had increased his knowledge and expertise working at several other biotechnology companies: ID-Lelystad – now WUR (head of development in the Vaccines & Sensitines department), CLB – now Sanquin (Project leader & scientist) and Gist-Brocades – now DSM (Product development technician).

Personal

In his free time Edwin (1966) regularly plays tennis and can be found enjoying the snow on the ski slopes during the winter holidays. Edwin is a family man and likes to watch and support his children, now young adults, with their various sporting endeavors and to plan holiday trips with the whole family.
