Jelte started his education in Clinical Chemistry and moved from Biomedical Sciences (Groningen) to Drug Innovation in Utrecht. Subsequently he started working in pharmaceutical product development. Jelte was involved in process development and scale-up of processes from lab scale to pilot scale and subsequent validation of commercial manufacturing scale processes. Later, Jelte moved to the project management department and successfully led several strategic multidisciplinary CMC projects at Sanquin Plasma products B.V. (now Prothya Biosolutions). 

Jelte has excellent project management skills and with his roots in research/process development and his years of CMC experience he is very capable at translating research processes into processes fit for commercial GMP manufacturing.
