Madelein van Zyl

Junior Validation Consultant

Madelein started at Progress as a Junior CQV Consultant in September 2022. After completing her Master in Chemical Engineering at Stellenbosch University, she started working as a validation engineer, working on projects for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Aspen Pharmacare, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Fresenius Kabi South Africa and F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG.

During the three years working in South Africa, she gained experience in commissioning, qualification and validation of systems in the diagnostic and pharmaceutical industries; specifically during the design, construction and pre-Performance Qualification (PQ) project phases.

In her spare time Madelein likes to spend time with her husband Gysbert, family and friends. She is fascinated by languages and cultures and loves walking, travelling and building scale models.
