René followed his degree as a Maritime Officer at the Maritime Institute Willem Barentsz by a post bachelor degree with a focus on quality management at the Amsterdam University of Applied Science. René started in the pharmaceutical industry with an intership at Tebodin BV. in 1999. After finishing his degree he worked for Tebodin, Solvay Pharmaceutical, Sanquin, Abbott Biologicals and Bilthoven Biologicals. René is experienced in a wide range of disciplines within the Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry; he has worked as a Qualification Engineer, Process Technologist, QA Validation Engineer, Qualification Lead Engineer, Departmental Manager and Project Manager.

René is a real team player who is always looking for improvements, with the aim to create a fluent and safe production process. He has the ability to view issues from  different perspectives, leading to problem solving with new inventive strategies or a fresh combination of known solutions.
